BGM Piano Performance at Restaurant, Week 3, November 2022
I usually keep around 50 pieces of sheet music ready for a 2-hour BGM performance.
The additional pieces for this week are listed below. For these, I selected works by artists with birthdays in November. Also, starting this Monday, we pianists have begun playing Christmas songs to match the restaurant’s festive holiday decorations.
During one of the sets, it was wonderful to participate in our special anniversary service—playing the birthday song as the main dish was served and sharing in the staff’s celebratory applause for a family enjoying their birthday dinner.
Ever since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I have also made it a point to include at least one piece by Chopin in every performance, praying for the end of the conflict and for world peace. I feel a deep connection to Chopin, who lived in exile, constantly longing to return to his beloved homeland of Poland.
